Bringing the works of H.G. Wells to life, this story begins in 1946, when Ellen McGillivray (Eve Best) talks to an aging Wells (Tom Ward) to discover the secrets behind his innovative tales. Wells begins talking about Jane Robbins (Katy Carmichael), a scientist he met decades ago who shared his interest in unnatural phenomena. After some experimentation, the two begin breaking boundaries and traveling back and forth through time.
