Raised with honor and respect for the tradition of the samurai, Munezo (Masatoshi Nagase) must choose between loyalty and duty when ordered to kill a former friend. When Munezo's political affiliations are questioned amid the rapidly changing climate of mid-19th-century Japan, he must prove his allegiance to the samurai and so seeks to learn the secrets of the hidden blade. But will he be prepared to face off against his erstwhile comrade?
