Reduced to writing jingles after a taste of pop stardom in his 20s, sad-sack thirtysomething Gary (Martin Freeman) finds an escape from his unhappy wife (Gwyneth Paltrow) when he starts having dreams about a gorgeous, mysterious woman (Penélope Cruz) who strokes his ego. Needless to say, this offbeat romantic comedy from writer-director Jake Paltrow (Gwyneth's younger brother) finds Gary taking every measure possible to protect his dream life.
