This Western double bill starts off with The Fighting Westerner, in which mysterious deaths at an old mine prompt a mining engineer (Randolph Scott) and a crusty old deputy (Charles Sale) to team up to solve the murders. Boots & Saddles stars Gene Autry as a ranch foreman who convinces the land's new owner, a haughty young Brit (Ronald Sinclair), to use the ranch to raise horses instead of selling it. Can he turn this Brit into a true Westerner?
