A botched suicide attempt lands terminally ill Sonny Lawson (Burt Reynolds) in the psych ward, where he meets Marlon (Dom DeLuise) -- a demented schizophrenic who's more than happy to help Sonny finish the job. When Sonny realizes that maybe he does want to live the few days he has left, it may be too late to stop Marlon from "helping." This slapstick black comedy co-stars Sally Field, Carl Reiner, Myrna Loy and Kristy McNichol.
