The Trail Beyond finds the Duke in the role of Rod Drew, a man who helps a friend search for his loved ones -- and a huge pile of gold. The Dawn Rider is a remake of the film Galloping Thru (1931) and The Trail Beyond a remake of The Wolf Hunters (1926).
