Lady-loving violinist Sergio (Ugo Tognazzi) has acquired no less than three families. Unwilling to give up the charade, Sergio must work day and night to provide for his growing households. When the pressure becomes too great, a fatal coronary provides just the perspective he needs to see the impact of his selfishness. Director and screenwriter Pietro Germi's amusing moralistic tale earned a 1968 Golden Globe nod for Best Foreign-Language Film.
