Peter Bogdanovich directs this historical fiction about the death of down-on-his-luck film pioneer Thomas Ince (Cary Elwes), who met his demise during a weekend outing on media mogul William Randolph Hearst's (Edward Herrmann) yacht. Among the stars on board who may or may not know the true circumstances of the death are Marion Davies (Kirsten Dunst), Charlie Chaplin (Eddie Izzard) and gossip columnist Louella Parsons (Jennifer Tilly).
