In attendance are Hearst (Edward Herrmann), his paramour, Marion Davies (Kirsten Dunst), Charlie Chaplin (Eddie Izzard), gossip columnist Louella Parsons (Jennifer Tilly) and down-on-his-luck film pioneer Thomas Ince (Cary Elwes). Gin, jazz, amorous intrigue and murder substitute for the usual parlor games.
