Planning to elope with a bandleader (Jack Carson) she's known for four days, oil heiress Joan Winfield (Bette Davis) hires pilot Steve Collins (James Cagney) to fly them to Nevada. But Joan's father makes Steve a better offer to bring her home unmarried. All bets are off, however, when they're forced to make an emergency landing in the desert. Stuart Erwin, Eugene Pallette and William Frawley co-star in this screwball comedy.
