The S.S. Gigantic is set to race rival ocean liner the Colossal in this musical farce, which won a Best Song Oscar. Gigantic owner T.F. Bellows (W.C. Fields) sends his brother S.B. (also played by Fields) to cause trouble on the Colossal -- but S.B. and his daughter (Martha Raye) accidentally end up on the Gigantic. Meanwhile, emcee Buzz Fielding (Bob Hope) announces musical acts while he juggles his fiancée (Dorothy Lamour) and three ex-wives.
