When a scorching meteorlike object crashes to Earth near a Southern California town, scientist Clayton Forrester (Gene Barry) waits three ill-fated days for the object -- a spaceship filled with Martians -- to cool. Meanwhile, the extraterrestrials continue to invade across the planet. It will take an unseen threat -- bacteria -- to conquer them.
