Adapted from a novel by Garrison Keillor and Jenny Lind Nillson, this movie showcases the pride and pitfalls of small-town life. Ingrid, a classical pianist, and her husband, Norman, a dairy farmer, moved to Sandy Bottom years ago. Ingrid's an eccentric who doesn't quite fit in, while Norman draws criticism for replacing the traditional marching band with a classical concert for the town's Dairy Days.
