Spooky spoofery is the name of the game in this mystery-comedy in which two inept investigators -- Inspector Winship (Don Knotts) and Dr. Tart (Tim Conway, who also co-wrote the screenplay) -- investigate a wealthy couple's murder in their gothic (and possibly haunted) mansion. Between the beautiful but grieving heiress (Trisha Noble), the nutty staff and some ghastly ghosts, the pair finds themselves caught up in one mystery after another.
