Struggling children's book illustrator Lucy Freers (Justine Bateman), her young daughter Chloe (Holliston Coleman) and her ne'er-do-well husband, Kit (Andrew McCarthy), live in Beverly Hills, where Lucy's constantly appalled by the decadence of her Hollywood neighbors. Julia Prentice (Angie Everhart), a trophy wife, is probably the worst example. But soon, Julia's found dead floating face down in Lucy's swimming pool. Question is: whodunit?
