The Harvey Girls

  (1946)
On a train trip west to become a mail-order bride, Susan Bradley (Judy Garland) meets a cheery crew of young women traveling to open a Harvey House restaurant at a remote whistle stop. When Susan's marriage plans fall through, she joins up with the Harvey Girls -- and many great musical numbers ensue! The picture, which also features Ray Bolger, won an Oscar for the Johnny Mercer-Harry Warren song "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe."
