Legendary comedian Sid Caesar stars as the vain emperor in this live-action version of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. In preparation for his daughter Gilda's (Lysette Anthony) wedding, the emperor (Caesar) hires two tailors to make him a suit. But the tailors are up to no good: One (Robert Morse) tries to steal the royal jewels, the other goes after Gilda, and they both convince the emperor to wear a suit rather unbefitting of royalty.
