The Couch Trip

Physician, heal thyself indeed. In this comedy based on a novel by Ken Kolb, Dr. George Maitlin (Charles Grodin), a radio shrink, may be more troubled than his callers. He asks the station to hire an inept temp while he's gone -- that way, when he returns, he'll be applauded. But an escaped mental patient (Dan Aykroyd) unknowingly takes the place of the temp the station hires … and listeners actually like him! Walter Matthau co-stars.
