A California family of five and a colorful collection of would-be cowboys spend a hot summer in Texas -- in 1867 -- in this amusing and informative time-traveling reality series. A 200-cow, 47,000-acre ranch provides the backdrop for this eight-part documentary, narrated by Randy Quaid, in which a grueling cattle drive, a shocking horse theft and a run-in with a camp of Comanches are only a few of the highlights. Also includes cast interviews.
