Frank Merrill -- a former champion gymnast who worked as a stunt double for the original Tarzan, Elmo Lincoln -- stars as the one and only Ape Man in this classic serial. Traveling with Lady Jane (Natalie Kingston) to the exotic temple of Opar to retrieve its treasure turns into an ill-conceived adventure for Tarzan, who suffers a blow to the head and forgets why he made the journey in the first place.
