Dedicated paleontologist Donald Hayden (Peter Horton) is consumed with work, leaving little time for connecting with his teenage daughter, Ally (Liz Stauber). One night, while waiting for her father at the museum, Ally knocks a fossilized egg off a desk. The egg spews magic smoke that makes the museum's dinosaurs come to life … with Ally in a front-row seat.
