In this coming-of-age story, Frankie (Lauren Ambrose) longs to escape from the working-class atmosphere of her South Carolina hometown. While suffering through a summer job at her parents' burger joint and enduring her brother's watchful eye, Frankie enjoys her friendship with Nicola (Jennifer Dundas Lowe). But when Frankie begins to forge relationships with some newcomers in town, the bond she shares with Nicola is threatened.
