Trombonist Johnny Birch (James Cardwell) gets the chance of a lifetime when Benny Goodman offers him a spot in his famous swing band. Featuring the Benny Goodman Orchestra, this lively musical follows young Johnny as he tours with the band, falls for Trudy (Linda Darnell) and tries to break out on his own. Big band fans are sure to enjoy the film's many musical numbers, which include "Jersey Bounce," "Let's Dance" and "Rachel's Dream."
