Overworked air-traffic controller Jack Chester (John Candy) is good at his job -- until he mistakes a fly on his radar screen for a low-flying plane. His boss prescribes a mandatory vacation to help him relax, but once he and his family arrive, Jack's dreams of the perfect Florida getaway soon wash away. From an oceanfront cottage that's steps from being condemned to a nasty accident that lands Jack on crutches, it's a summer he'd sooner forget.
