Saturday Night Live character Stuart Smalley (Al Franken) moves to the big screen, but his daily affirmations and caring "wisdom" don't seem to be working. After losing his cable TV show, a depressed Smalley spends six days in bed with a mountain of junk food. Finally, however, he pulls himself together when he realizes that nobody needs his help more than his own dysfunctional family. Harold Ramis (Caddyshack, Groundhog Day) directed.
