Based on a Stephen King story, this eerie tale centers on Alan Parker (Jonathan Jackson), who fears the worst in any situation. Convinced that his girlfriend (Erika Christensen) is planning to leave him, he attempts suicide, but survives. Soon after, Alan's mother (Barbara Hershey) falls gravely ill. Forgetting his fears (and that it's Halloween), Alan hitchhikes to the hospital, only to be picked up by an otherworldly stranger (David Arquette).
