Andy Whitfield ("McLeod's Daughters") stars as the titular Spartacus -- an imprisoned Roman soldier who fights for his life as a gladiator before being sold into slavery -- in this lavish Starz series that blends elements of action and fantasy. Lucy Lawless ("Xena: Warrior Princess") co-stars as Lucretia, the beautiful woman who becomes Spartacus's mistress when her husband (John Hannah) becomes the scrappy slave's owner.
