On the heels of his wildly successful production of "Macbeth," New Burbage Festival theater director Geoffrey Tennant (Paul Gross) begins work on the legendary tragedy of "King Lear." With ghostly mentor Oliver Welles (Stephen Ouimette) nowhere to be found, Geoffrey coaxes his childhood hero (William Hutt) out of retirement to play the title role and finds an ingenue (Sarah Polley) to play the role of young Cordelia.
