In this black comedy, Harry Odum (Norman Reedus) lives under his mother's (Deborah Harry's) thumb as well as under her roof. Although a devoted son, Harry also has a mean streak, which he unleashes on a strip-club owner. When a member of the Jewish mob hears of this, he recruits Harry to work as a muscleman for Louis Varga (Jerry Adler), the mob "family" head. Harry performs his job so well that he earns enough money to care for his mother.
