Six Characters in Search of an Author

Starring Andy Griffith and John Houseman, this adaptation of Luigi Pirandello's play takes place at a television studio, where a group of rehearsing actors are replaced by strangers who insist their story is more important and must be told. Intrigued by their demands, the director allows them to recount their tragic tale. Stacey Keach directs this made-for-television production, which co-stars Julie Adams, Beverly Todd and James Keach.
