Forced to contend with asthma, the class bully and a psychotic gym teacher, Barry Gabrewski (Jonathan Brandis) is finding life in middle school stressful. To cope, he escapes with his fantasies -- all of which involve becoming Chuck Norris's sidekick. But fantasy and reality begin to merge when the uncle of one of his instructors begins teaching Barry karate. Beau Bridges plays Barry's dad in this feel-good drama that also features Norris.
