Buddy-cop movies are mercilessly spoofed when two mismatched detectives (Robert De Niro and Eddie Murphy) are forced to work together as stars of a new reality-based TV show. The police department hopes the program will boost officer morale and lead to a better image in general (yeah, right!). In the film's funniest set piece, William Shatner is brought in to teach the pair how to master important "TV cop procedures."
