Sean Bean is maverick British Officer Richard Sharpe, fighting against Napoleon in 19th-century Spain. Action and romance follow Sharpe as he and his war-hardened riflemen risk their lives. This time out, Wellington orders him to whip the Royal Irish Guard into shape for their first battle. Between holding off the French and contending with the commander of the Guard and his devoted (and neglected) wife, Sharpe has his work cut out for him!
