This sleekly designed action television series from Japan follows anime character Shana, a pretty young girl cloaked in black who battles ethereal beings with a sword. Shana saves teenager Yuji from being eaten by a monster and unwittingly pulls him into her supernatural mission to save the world. Featuring techno music by Ko Otani and animation produced by JC Staff, the show combines striking visuals with appealing, well-developed characters.
