John Clark (Richard Gere) has all he could ever ask for, including a successful career and a loving wife (Susan Sarandon). But true happiness eludes him, prompting him to sign up for dance lessons at a downtown studio he passes on his way to work. As John's friendship with alluring dance teacher Paulina (Jennifer Lopez) grows, so does his love for joyful movement, renewing his lease on life -- and alarming his wife.
