What is a cookie?

Turning on cookies in Internet Explorer 6 and 7:

1. Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.
2. Click the "Privacy" tab.
3. Click the "Advanced" button.
4. Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" check box.
5. Check the "Accept" check box under "First-party Cookies".
6. Click "OK" on the "Advanced Privacy Settings" window.
7. Click "OK" on the "Internet Options" window.
