Likable dork Gilly Noble (Chris Klein), who works as an animal-control officer in a Podunk Indiana town, meets hairstylist Jo Wingfield (Heather Graham) when she gives him a trim (and lops off part of his ear). After they fall in love and get engaged, Gilly discovers he may be Jo's long-lost brother! Orlando Jones steals the movie as a legless pilot who shuttles Gilly around.
