George Baker and Jane Lapotaire star in this movie based on a mystery novel by writer Ruth Rendell. Detective Wexford is faced with a most perplexing case: A Nigerian doctor, Raymond Akande, disappears, but that's not all -- three African women are also found dead, and another one has been horribly beaten. Wexford must find the perpetrator before anyone else gets hurt.
