In 1975, a packed Belmont Park crowd gathers for the much-anticipated match race against the formidable colt Foolish Pleasure. But nearly a mile into the race, Ruffian suffers a tragedy that shocks the spectators. Sam Shepard and Frank Whaley star in this fact-based drama.
