Starring ballet legends Maya Plisetskaya in the title role and Alexander Godunov as Count Vronsky, this stirring production by the Bolshoi Ballet brings to cinematic life the legendary work of master novelist Leo Tolstoy. Featuring music by Rodion Shchedrin, the adaptation also stars Vladimir Tihonov as Karenin and Yuri Vladimirov as the station master. Yuri Simonov conducts the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra.
