Based on the life of rodeo star Sue Pirtle, this compelling drama tells the story of Sammy Garrett (Katherine Ross), who decides to enter a competition when she becomes frustrated with her secondary role in life as the supportive wife of rodeo champion Will (Bo Hopkins). Facing Will's disapproval and the pervasive sexism in the rodeo world, she pursues her passion and becomes a champion herself. Candy Clark and Wilford Brimley co-star.
