Leaving Minneapolis, Minn., to return to her hometown of New York City, Rhoda Morgenstern (Valerie Harper) deals with love, family and career in this Golden Globe- and Emmy-winning spin-off of the legendary "Mary Tyler Moore Show." Rhoda has her hands full with her mopey sister (Julie Kavner) and her manipulative mother (Nancy Walker), but she also finds the love of her life in Joe Gerard (David Groh), the handsome owner of a demolition company.
