This notoriously irreverent sci-fi series that first appeared in the 1980s on British television gleefully mixes jokes about excessive curry consumption with affectionate parodies of classic sci-fi. It's a weird and wonderful mélange of Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple," John Carpenter's Dark Star and A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
