On a mission to assassinate a rebel leader in Africa, Soviet KGB agent Lt. Nikolai (Dolph Lundgren) instead finds himself beginning to sympathize with the locals. He soon turns against his superiors and takes up the rebel cause. But the Russians and Cubans don't take kindly to his new sympathies, and the stage is set for an epic showdown between Nikolai and his former comrades. M.
