In the third season of this long-running drama, Los Angeles's top medical examiner (Jack Klugman) clashes with his boss (John S. Ragin) and the LAPD's Lt. Frank Monahan (Garry Walberg) in his ongoing determination to find the make-or-break clues. Shady union dealings, a reclusive tycoon's mysterious death and a hijacked plane figure in this season's episodes, with guest appearances by Dabney Coleman and sports greats Rosey Grier and Joe Louis.
