Lynn Redgrave heads the cast as Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle in this BBC adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's best-known play. To win a bet with his friend Col. Pickering (Ronald Fraser), boastful phonetics teacher Henry Higgins (James Villiers) vows to transform the uncultured Eliza into a genteel English lady. Along the way, she captures the pompous professor's heart -- but he's too stubborn to admit it.
