Ranch foreman Royal Leckner (Henry Czerny) tracks down his dying employer's deaf son (Shawn Ashmore) and brings him home to carry on the family cattle business in this made-for-TV drama set in 1920s Western Canada. But the young man's future and his birthright are threatened when a grasping banker schemes to take over the ranch. The supporting cast includes Colette Stevenson, Aidan Devine and Richard Donat.
