Tracking his ascension from nerdy Long Island student to Gotham's No. 1 radio shock-jock, the movie chronicles Stern's X-rated on-air behavior, nonstop scuffles with executives about censorship and his surprisingly tender relationship with his spouse (portrayed by Mary McCormack).
