Powwow Highway

  (1989)
This offbeat road film, first released in 1989 and awarded the Filmmaker's Trophy at the Sundance Film Festival, tracks the journey of mellow Philbert Bono (Gary Farmer), a Montana Cheyenne tribe member who has to drive hundreds of miles to pick up a sister arrested in Santa Fe.
