But when her boy and his best friend, Lennie (Jacob Tierney), get arrested for stealing a six-pack of nonalcoholic brew, Michael's chances for higher education hit an all-time low. Short on intellect and other options, the family kicks off a crime spree to pay for the best lawyer in town (William Devane) -- who just happens to be an ex-con.
