This fascinating sports biopic explores boxer Sonny Liston's (Ving Rhames) life in the ring and out, particularly his relationships with his manager (Nick Turturro), wife (Stacey Dash) and lover (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras). After a priest eyes his talents in a Missouri jail, Liston punches through poverty, racism, infidelity, Mafia entanglements and legendary bouts with Cassius Clay -- all the way to his mysterious death in 1971.
